The Society of Friends of the Fleet Air Arm Museum (SoFFAAM) was formed in 1979 to support and promote the Museum and its activities. SoFFAAM is a Registered Charity, No. 280725. Members have an active events programme including excursions and monthly talks by eminent speakers in the field of aviation. Talks are held in the Museum's AgustaWestland Conference Room and include a light buffet supper and drinks and are available for a nominal charge.
Members have the opportunity of becoming actively involved with the Museum and an excellent volunteer training programme provides opportunities for explainers and Museum Guides.
In addition to monthly talks and excursions, benefits of membership include free entry to the Museum, reduced rates for up to three guests, concessions with the shop, a quarterly news letter and twice yearly magazine containing articles about the Fleet Air Arm Museum and Naval aviation.
To join the Society of Friends and help the Museum, please contact the Membership Secretary, Robert Heath email robtheath@gmail.com or complete a Membership Form and send to Robert Heath, 8B Cecil Road, Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset, BS23 2NQ.
